I am switching schools this year! I’ve been working at the same school since I started full-time teaching, so I’m both nervous and excited for a new adventure. I confess, I was feeling burnt out at my old school, and when I told some of my colleagues I was changing schools they mentioned how sometimes changing it up can be reinvigorating, which I hope is true!

My goal with this blog, at least to start with, is to share my experience starting fresh at a new school. If you are considering a switch, it may give you some insights, or if you’re new to teaching, it might help help you know what to expect! I’m currently thinking about what elements from my last classroom I plan to keep, what I want to simplify or improve, and what new things I’ll create as I learn a new curriculum.
